Polestar chooses new charging partner

Ohme, the award-winning dynamic smart charging company, has become the official charging partner for Polestar in Ireland. This partnership means that Polestar will recommend Ohme chargers to its customers, offering an EV charging solution.
David Watson, CEO at Ohme, highlighted Ohme's rapid growth in the EV charging sector and the natural fit between Ohme's technology and Polestar's luxury EV brand.
Jonathan Goodman, Head of Polestar UK & Ireland, expressed their excitement about collaborating with Ohme as their recommended home charger supplier. He noted that Ohme's smart chargers align with Polestar's values and culture, offering customers significant cost savings and a comprehensive EV package.
Ohme, based in Cork and London, offers dynamic smart chargers that automatically adjust charging to optimize cost savings using off-peak tariffs. For instance, charging a Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor with an Ohme smart charger on an off-peak tariff could cost only €216.60 for driving 10,000 kilometers over a year, compared to €700.15 on the standard tariff.
Ohme's recent recognitions include winning the Fast Track Company of the Year at the 2023 Green Business Awards and being named the Best Electric Charging Point Provider by Business Motoring.
