BMW Group gets a new managing director for Irish operations, Helen Westby

Overview

Helen Westby is to take over as new managing director for BMW Group in Ireland from April 1.

She has held the position of general manager at BMW Group’s training academy for the UK and Ireland since 2015.

Meanwhile, after 31 years at BMW Group, managing director Kevin Davidson is to retire.

Ms Westby has gained a wealth of knowledge across the group’s business, particularly in retail network. She is an experienced learning and development leader.

She began working for BMW Group in 2000 as a consultant, supporting a customer quality programme.

She then moved to a regional business development manager role.

In 2013 she was promoted to BMW regional sales manager, before her move to the Training Academy.

The new MD holds an MBA from the Henley Business School.

From Surrey, Ms Westby has two daughters and is all set to move to Ireland with her husband and two dogs.
