Dacia celebrates 8 million sales

Overview

Dacia is celebrating a significant milestone, having sold its eight millionth vehicle globally just 18 years after expanding beyond its Romanian home market. The brand's range is now available in 44 countries, making Dacia the leading retail brand in Europe for the second consecutive year.

This achievement includes impressive sales figures of 2.78 million Sanderos and 2.26 million Dusters. Dacia's journey began in 2004, with a focus on providing excellent value for money and a pragmatic vision for vehicles. Over the past 18 years, the brand has expanded across Eastern Europe and beyond, becoming known for its disruptive force in the automotive industry.

France and Italy lead in sales, and Dacia Ireland achieved record-breaking sales in 2023, celebrating its 10th anniversary with over 35,000 sales since launch. Dacia's market share in the European retail market reached 7.6% in 2023, with the Dacia Sandero ranking as the most sold car for the sixth consecutive year.

The eight million sales consist of various models, with Sanderos and Dusters playing a pivotal role. Dacia's steadfast brand philosophy is symbolized by its "Dacia Link" emblem introduced in 2021, emphasizing the trust between the brand and its customers.

The brand's next big launch will be the all-electric Dacia Spring, which it claims will be Europe's most affordable electric car, and arriving in Ireland in Spring 2024.
