Jeep Avenger officially launches in Ireland

Overview

Jeep have officially launched their first electric model to the Irish market. The Avenger marks the regeneration of the Jeep brand here and across Europe. Having already scooped the prestigious European Car of the Year award, it’s already got 65,000 customers on its order books across the continent and looks set to be a big hit here too.

A 54kWh hour battery gives it a range of up to 400km on a single charge. With a starting price of just €35,995, the midsize crossover looks set to be a big hit amongst urban dwellers with its compact dimensions. Sitting just below the slightly larger Renegade in their range, it offers a decent 355l litres of boot space and room for the usual two and half passengers in the back.

Plenty of Jeep heritage prevails– the famous seven slot grille for a start, as well as plenty of protective cladding and a choice of two tone livery.

The juxtaposition of old and new continues inside the cabin where a choice of impressive infotainment displays sit alongside a good old fashioned push button set up for things you might want to access in a hurry, like air con and volume controls. This is evident again at the back where a fancy handsfree tailgate opens to reveal a super practical washable boot floor.

The interior is bright and cheerful with a choice of colours available for the trim, depending on which spec you go for. The range starts with the Longitude at €36,995 but the mid spec Altitude is expected to be the volume seller starting at €39,495. The top of the range Summit is available from €42,995. Order books are open now. Find your local Jeep retailer here.
