Ford is driving upmarket with a new high-spec version of its Ranger pickup.

The ‘ultra-high’ spec Ranger Platinum is powered by the 240PS 3-litre V6 turbodiesel and has a drive-train engineered specially for comfort on and off the road. Power is delivered through a new electronically controlled full-time all-wheel drive system. It combines a 10spd automatic transmission with adaptive shift.

It comes only with five seats and a double cab.

Production of the pickup is scheduled to begin in March 2023, with the first customer deliveries likely from late spring.

They’ve added muscular looks on the outside while inside there is a leather-trim cabin.

The driver and front-seat passenger can enjoy perforated and quilted leather seats with 10-way electronic adjustment.
