I know distributors here often have to toe the line and compromise when it comes to including packages of safety and comfort items on their latest cars.
So they may not have a choice but to include the likes of a heated steering wheel.
It can come with a particular spec level and Ireland may be too small a market to go changing equipment packages at the expense of one element.
But I still think that a heated steering wheel is one of the silliest things you can have in a car.
I know people in colder countries like them but really and truly, have we become so pampered here that we need our hands warmed at the first fall of a shower of snow or a frosty snap?
I don’t think so.
I’ve long thought it to be a waste of time and a waste of energy (heating) come to think of it.
It doesn’t impress me at all but maybe some of you may have a different take on the situation?
Let me know what you think?
