MINI Ireland and the Body & Soul Music and Arts Festival are searching for a creative collaborator to design a stage installation space exclusively for Mini at this year’s festival.

The festival is at Ballinlough Castle, Co Westmeath, from June 21-23.

With a bursary prize of €10,000, the open competition pays tribute to the original Mini, which was launched 60 years ago in 1959 and designed as an answer to a pressing social issue – a global fuel shortage.

With the theme ‘creative use of space’, the installation will pay homage to the iconic car renowned for its original and unconventional design.

Mini has also devised the bursary to showcase its creative solutions approach for future urban living spaces across its Mini Living, Urban X and A/D/O brands.

It is an opportunity to work with a team of creatives which includes Body & Soul head of design and Hollywood prop maker Mary Pike, director of the Irish Architecture Foundation Nathalie Weadick and Body & Soul founder Avril Stanley.

For more information on the brief and to enter, applicants need to submit designs via by April 14.

The €10,000 bursary must cover costs of materials, construction and design.
