Some of the biggest names in the world of “drifting” will show how it’s done at the highest level at a major event at Mondello Park, Caragh, Co Kildare, on Sunday.

Drifting is the art of intentionally oversteering and losing traction so a car goes “sideways” – you often see it in the movies.

The skill is in maintaining control while driving a car through a corner.

Do NOT try it on a public road or anywhere someone could be injured.

The Adam LZ Drift Festival at Mondello will have Jimmy Oakes, Collete Davis, TJ Hunt, Ryan Meyer and the legend Adam LZ – all from the US.

The European line-up includes Low Origin & Nightride, Baggsy, Becky Evans, Driftworks’ Phil Morrison, Martin & Tess Richards. Also there will be Luke Fink who is back with a point to prove.

The Irish contingent includes Jack and Conor Shanahan, D-Mac and James Deane.

This is anticipated to be one of the biggest events of its kind in Europe.
