Volvo’s latest car to get the Polestar Engineered treatment has recently gone on sale here.

The XC60 benefits from the performance that comes with the company’s electric performance arm Polestar. It applies special engineering to wheels, brakes, suspension and engine control unit.

Included are multilink front and rear suspension with premium Öhlins shock absorbers, lightweight wheels, gold-painted brake callipers, black chrome exhaust pipes – all indicating Polestar Engineering.

The XC60 benefiting from the Polestar treatment in this case is the T8 twin-engine automatic AWD (405 PS, 73g/km, €170 tax, in onyx black with charcoal upholstery).

The basic XC60 starts at €53,850; prices can range to €93,080 for a special option version: Volvo give a typical-price example with VRT relief as €85,809.

Polestar Engineered model spec includes: Sensus connect, Harman Kardon system, 13 speakers, optimised powertrain, lowered sport chassis, 20ins Brembo/Akebono brakes, wheel arch extensions 21ins alloys, R-Design Pro and T8 Twin Engine spec

Options include: Intellisafe Pro Pack, ACC plus pilot assist, distance alert, rear collision mitigation, four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, parking camera 360 degree view and automatic parking.
