The all-new, next-level Ford Ranger Raptor has arrived and promises to raise the off-road performance bar by being smarter, tougher and quicker than all of its rivals.
Developed by Ford’s Performance wing, the new pick-up blends raw power with mechanical and technical precision to create the most advanced Ranger ever.
Irish customers will be offered the new twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 petrol engine – boasting a face-peeling 288bhp and a stonking 491 Nm of torque.
The hulking 4x4 is also fitted with a race-bred anti-lag system similar to that first seen on the Ford GT road car and Focus ST and delivered through a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Buyers here also have the option of choosing a 2.0-litre bi‑turbo diesel engine, which will be available to order in the Raptor from early 2023, with first deliveries expected in the summer.
