Nissan launches new entry model Nissan Ariya EV from €43,500

Strong supply set to meet pent up demand

Overview

Nissan has commenced the new year by introducing a competitively priced entry-grade Nissan Ariya, offering a substantial supply of all models of this stylish 100% electric crossover across its dealer network.

This news is likely to be well-received by both new and existing electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts who have eagerly awaited the Nissan Ariya since its limited availability in Ireland in 2023 due to overwhelming global demand.

The futuristic design of the Nissan Ariya has garnered attention on Irish roads, and Nissan is pleased not only to secure ample stock levels for 2024 but also to establish a competitive lead-in price of €43,500 (inclusive of the €3,500 SEAI grant). This pricing strategy is expected to appeal to EV drivers seeking a premium driving experience.

The recently launched entry-grade 63kWh Nissan Ariya Engage, featuring a spacious and luxurious interior, builds on the strengths of the pioneering Nissan LEAF and the Nissan Qashqai, the world’s best-selling crossover.

The Engage grade is equipped with a 63kWh battery delivering a range of up to 404 kilometres, incorporating safety features and connected technologies typically found in higher-grade options.

For customers seeking an even more luxurious drive, the Advance or Evolve grades offer two battery options – the 63kWh or the larger 87kWh battery, providing a range of up to 532 kilometres.

The 63kWh Advance grade starts at €45,849, while the higher spec Evolve grade with the same battery starts at €48,349. Pricing for the larger 87kWh battery in the Advance grade begins at €54,100 and at €56,300 in the Evolve grade. All prices include government grants.

Seamus Morgan, Managing Director of Nissan Ireland, noted, “We are delighted to secure stock of this much sought-after car for 2024. Our pricing is extremely competitive for a family car of this quality. The first thing that you notice when you sit into the Nissan Ariya is its premium feel and spacious interior. The arrival of the Engage grade allows drivers to step up and switch into a more luxurious EV without compromise.”

Morgan added, “The Nissan Ariya Engage also makes it less expensive to drive an EV. The entry price of €43,500 is on a par, or less than the cost of buying the same-sized petrol or diesel car. This makes transitioning to zero-emissions driving even more attractive, and Nissan will continue to lead the way in helping motorists make that change and play their part in helping Ireland meet its climate change targets.”

The new Ariya stands as Nissan’s most technically advanced vehicle to date, designed to meet the needs of tech-savvy customers and operate seamlessly in an increasingly connected world. Standard safety features and technologies include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Driver Alertness, Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, Rear Emergency Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, and Nissan’s e-Pedal technology, enabling drivers to launch, accelerate, and decelerate using only the accelerator.

The interior of the Nissan Ariya redefines the driver's interaction with technology, featuring a minimalist dashboard and primary control functions that vibrate when touched, only appearing when the car is switched on. The top-of-the-range 87kWh Ariya Evolve model boasts advanced features such as a Wireless Phone Charger, part PVC/synthetic suede seats, Intelligent Rear View Mirror, a Heads-Up Display (HUD), ProPILOT Park, ventilated (heated and cooled) front seats, heated rear seats, a Bose 10-speaker sound system, and an openable panoramic sunroof.
