A choice of three batteries for Škoda's newest EV

Overview

The all-new Škoda Elroq is the Czech brand’s first fully electric vehicle in the competitive compact SUV market. It's also the debut model for Škoda’s new Modern Solid design, offering a robust, functional, and authentic look. With a range of over 560 kilometres, it comes with a variety of powertrains and battery sizes. The Elroq's starting price of €36,545, after rebates and delivery charges, makes it the most affordable in its segment.

Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, said: “The Škoda Elroq is our first fully electric compact SUV, marking a new chapter in the fastest-growing vehicle class in Europe. It’s also the first to feature our new Modern Solid design, showcasing a robust, functional exterior with unique touches like the black Tech Deck Face.”

John Donegan, Škoda Ireland Brand Director, added: “The Elroq marks a turning point in the Irish EV market. Previously, customers had few choices beyond larger, more expensive electric SUVs. Now, for the first time, customers can choose between two similarly sized and comparably priced Škoda SUVs—one electric, one petrol-powered. The Elroq, with its competitive price and superior specifications, is a real game-changer.”

The Elroq features a bold, clean look and is the first model to embrace Škoda's Modern Solid design language. The signature Škoda grille has been replaced by the sleek, glossy black Tech-Deck Face, while the four-eye headlight design has been modernized. The aerodynamic body boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.26, contributing to a top speed of 180 km/h.

The Elroq comes with three battery sizes and powertrains. The entry-level Elroq 50 starts at 125 kW, offers a range of 370 km, and is priced from €36,545. The Elroq 60 offers a range of 440 km at a starting price of €38,416, while the top-range Elroq 85 delivers over 560 km for €42,315. A Sportline version and an all-wheel-drive Elroq 85x are planned for release in late 2025. Fast charging capabilities allow the 82 kWh battery of the Elroq 85 to charge from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes, while smaller batteries can be charged in 25 minutes or less.

With 470 litres of luggage space (expanding to 1,580 litres with the rear seats folded), the Elroq leads its class in cargo capacity. A 13-inch infotainment screen with an intuitive interface comes as standard. The interior uses innovative sustainable materials and includes new Simply Clever features, such as 48 litres of extra storage compartments and a charging cable net under the parcel shelf. The Elroq also offers extensive connectivity options, advanced assistance systems, and up to nine airbags, ensuring top-tier comfort and safety.

The Škoda Elroq is available for pre-order from October 7, with first deliveries expected in April 2025.
