Suzuki Vitara gets a makeover
Provided by Independent.ie
Suzuki have revised and revamped their small Vitara SUV/Crossover in time for the 191 plate early next year.
Importantly, they are replacing the 1.6-litre petrol engine with the excellent 1-litre and 1.4-litre powerplants they have in other models. The 1-litre whips up 109bhp and 125lb ft of torque while the 1.4 develops 138bhp and 162lb ft.
Suzuki say emission levels of both engines are lower – but will not say by how much – under the new WLTP cycle which kicks in from September 1.
Some tweaks to the outside (light clusters, grille and bumpers) and better-quality materials in the cabin and especially on the dash give it a lift.
There is now a colour screen with the redesigned instrument cluster.
