Peugeot reveal all new electric 3008 Fastback

Overview

Peugeot has unveiled the new E-3008, an all new electric fastback SUV which will do up to 700km on a single charge. The reveal took place at a Press Event in Sochaux, France, where the French automaker showcased its latest model and commitment towards becoming an all electric brand.

Linda Jackson, CEO of Peugeot, said, "The launch of the Next-Level E-3008 is a major leap in Peugeot's radical transformation, setting new benchmarks for design, driving pleasure, and efficiency. With its striking exterior design, the breathtaking PEUGEOT Panoramic i-Cockpit®, and unrivaled electric performance, the Next-Level E-3008 positions Peugeot as a leading brand offering the widest range of mainstream electric vehicles."

The current Peugeot 3008, bought by over 1.3 million customers in 130 countries over the past 7 years, is being succeeded by the new E-3008. Peugeot say they are committed to offering a complete EV line-up as soon as 2025 and that 100% of the brands’ sales in Europe will be electric by 2030.

The E-3008 is built on Stellantis' new STLA Medium platform, which it claims sets new industry standards in crucial customer criteria such as range (up to 700km), charge time (30 minutes), driving enjoyment, performance, efficiency, and connected services.

There will be two trim levels on offer, Allure and GT, along with three all-electric powertrains:

  • Range of 525km, 2-wheel drive, 210bhp/157kW,
  • Dual Motor with range of 525km, 4-wheel drive, 320bhp/240kW,
  • Long Range with range of 700km, 2-wheel drive, 230bhp/170kW. Hybrid powertrains will also be offered.

Production of the Next-Level PEUGEOT E-3008 will be exclusively based in Sochaux, France, and it will be available for purchase in Ireland starting from Spring 2024. Detailed pricing and specifications will be announced later this year.
